People booking flights to India may be pleased to hear that Qatar Airways has received a travel award for its business class service.
Qatar Airways has picked up a prestigious award for the best business class service at the World Travel Awards.
The Middle Eastern carrier beat off international competition to take the title.
This is the second consecutive year that the company has walked away with the award for world’s leading airline – business class.
Awards are voted for by professionals from the travel and tourism industry from more than 160 different countries.
Akbar Al Baker, chief executive officer at the airline, said: “This award is recognition that Qatar Airways continues to lead in what is a highly competitive aviation industry by offering the most innovative premium services to our valued customers.”
Over 80 destinations are served by the carrier, including a number of cities in India, Australia and Thailand.
Last month, a new route to Amritsar in northern India was launched as part of the company’s expansion plans to add new cities to its international network.
