Jet Airways, a popular option among those who look for flights to India, is offering yet another daily flight on popular India-Thai route. The airline is introducing a second daily flight between Kolkata and Bangkok from May 10.
Jet Airways, a leading Indian airline, has announced its plans to introduce an additional Boeing 737 flight between Kolkata and Bangkok from May 10, 2012.
The airline’s press release says the service is introduced to cater to the increased demand with the approaching holiday season. This will be the second daily frequency on the popular route.
The new flight will be a daytime service as opposed to the late night one that is currently being offered by Jet Airways on Kolkata and Bangkok sector.
Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said in the press release: “Jet Airways is happy to introduce a second frequency on the Kolkata-Bangkok route and we are confident that this additional service will prove immensely popular with our guests. With the increased flow of tourist and business traffic to and from Bangkok along with the growing seasonal demand this summer, we are pleased to provide this additional flight to meet the requirement of our guests.
“The convenient connections from Kolkata into the Jet Airways network which will now offer guests onward connections on the airline network both within India and abroad. We are confident that this would meet the needs of the corporate, MICE and leisure travellers,” Mr Raghavan continued.
Flight 9W 72 will depart from Kolkata airport at 1100 hrs and will arrive at Bangkok at 1510 hrs. For return flights to India, 9W 71 will depart Bangkok at 1600 hrs and land in Kolkata at 1705 hrs.
Currently, Jet Airways offers three daily flights to Bangkok from Mumbai and a daily flight from Delhi. With yet another flight on Thai-India route, tourists would perhaps be in a better position to net tickets on inbound and outbound cheap flights to India.
