One of India’s leading private carriers, Jet Airways has launched two new flights to Doha from Kozhikode (Calicut) and Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), providing enhanced connectivity to the Gulf region. The airline is offering flights on Thiruvananthapuram – Doha and Kozhikode – Doha routes, three days of a week. Jet Airways will maintain this frequency for a while and then from June 1, the airline will increase the frequency to a daily service.
“Jet Airways, which has established itself as a preferred airline on the Indo-Gulf sector, is happy to announce the introduction of two new additional flights from Kerala to the Gulf country,” Jet Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Raj Shiv Kumar said in the release.
The carrier is using a 168-seater Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft to operate the new flights. 12 seats in premiere and 156 seats in economy class are available on the flights.
“Currently Jet Airways operates four daily flights to Doha and with the launch of these two new flights, it would now connect three cities of Kerala including Kochi with the Gulf country, the airline said in a release.
At present, the Indian carrier operates two daily flights to Doha from Mumbai and one each from Delhi and Kochi.
Flight 9W 593 will leave Doha at 9.15 p.m. local time on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays to reach Trivandrum at 4.20 a.m. For the return journey, flight 9W 594 will leave at 7.45 a.m. on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays to reach Doha Airport at 10.05 a.m. local time.
Jet Airways Flight 9W 595 will take off from Doha at 11.20 a.m. (LT) to reach Kozhikode at 5.50 p.m. Flight 9W 596 will depart Kozhikode at 6.50 p.m. and reach Doha at 8.50 p.m. local time.
Jet Airways will operate flights as per this schedule till March 28; thereafter it will reschedule the flights to Doha until May 31.
