Travellers who regularly fly with Continental Airlines may be interested in their auction of a trip taking in eight wonders of the world.
Continental Airlines is offering members of its frequent fliers programme the opportunity to bid their air miles to win a round-the-world trip taking in eight wonders of the world.
India’s Taj Mahal has been selected as one of the sites that the winner will visit, along with the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt and Machu Picchu in Peru.
Mark Bergsrud, senior vice president of marketing programmes and distribution at the airline, commented: “We are pleased to celebrate joining Star Alliance by bringing this unique auction package to our most loyal customers.”
Star Alliance is a global airline network. Its members include Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand.
Other destinations selected by Continental as wonders of the world include the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Coliseum in Rome and the Great Wall of China.
In addition to flights, the carrier will also be providing accommodation at each destination.
Continental Airlines celebrated its 75th anniversary this year. The company was founded in 1934 by Walter T Varney and his partner Louis Mueller under the name Varney Speed Lines.
