Anyone booking flights to India with Lufthansa can get a taste of the country before they land with the airline’s latest in-flight meals.
People planning holidays in India can get a taste for authentic cuisine from the country during their journey, if they fly with Lufthansa.
The German carrier has teamed up with the Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts group to offer its passengers royal Indian cuisine on any of the airline’s frequent flights to the country.
In-flight food has been prepared by two award-winning chefs from The Leela Group.
Dishes on offer include prawn curry masala, Alleppy fish curry and khade masale ka paneer.
Aishwarva Nair, food and wine merchandising associate at The Leela Group, said: “With continuing globalisation and people seeking to explore new cuisines, The Leela’s royal Indian menus being served on-board Lufthansa flights is a great initiative to experience the culinary art at its finest in the skies.”
Lufthansa has said that it believes the enhanced culinary offerings will provide passengers with a “truly memorable experience”.
During the summer, Lufthansa makes 54 flights every week from Europe to India, landing at destinations including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
Earlier this year, the carrier was named best international airline in India at the CNBC AWAAZ Travel Awards. Singapore Airlines was the first to win in the category in 2008.
