Parents hoping to have an affordable holiday have been advised to think outside of the traditional destination.
People with children could be planning to book flights to India or other exotic locations as they have been advised to try thinking of more exciting places to take the kids.
With many parents looking to stretch their budgets for family holidays, Amanda Lamb, speaking on behalf of MasterCard Prepaid, said that people should look to take vacations to places where they do not need to pay to visit theme parks.
She said that most children enjoy simply heading out to forests or the beach, with both locations providing plenty of opportunities to have affordable fun.
“Be a bit more inventive where you take your kids. Look at doing things that don’t necessarily cost a lot of money,” Ms Lamb recommended.
Those looking to get a taste of the culture after taking flights to India have been advised by volunteering service i-to-i that getting involved with the community can have a great lasting effect for both the visitors and the people who live there.
