Egypt could once again be one of the most popular places to take a holiday next year.
There could be a rise in the number of people booking flights to Egypt next year as the country once again becomes one of the most sought after holiday locations.
Offering his predictions on the most popular places to travel next year, Sean Tipton, spokesman for ABTA – The Travel Association, said many people may be planning their trips abroad now as the nights get darker and the cold weather sets in.
He said that the country saw a drop off at the start of the year, but this is likely to be over now.
“Egypt in particular is offering exceptionally good value for money following the demonstrations earlier on this year, which had a knock-on effect on business,” Mr Tipton said.
Some of the people taking flights to Egypt may have decided to prioritise taking a break above other luxuries, as a recent study by LV= showed that 77 per cent of people would make daily cutbacks in order to afford a holiday.
