Those on cheap holidays in Dubai may like to pop along to Twestival – an event which celebrated social networking and raising money for charity.
Travellers looking forward to their cheap holidays in Dubai who love to tap away at their Twitter accounts are being invited to register for one of the region’s most talked-about events – Twestival.
Online registration opened this week and all those who hope to attend have to do is enter their details and go along to the Jam Jar Gallery in Al Quoz on September 12th to meet a whole host of fellow social networkers.
The event is not just an opportunity for locals and visitors to meet and share experiences – any money raised will be donated to the Dubai Autism Center, which aims to raise awareness of the condition.
Prashant Gulati, one of the event organisers, said that the first Dubai instalment of Twestival in February this year was “one of the most successful events internationally and was, in fact, in the top five cities globally in collecting [for] charity”.
Some famous Twitter users include British prime minister Gordon Brown, actress Demi Moore and US president Barack Obama.
