National airline of the United Arab Emirates Etihad Airways has revealed its new luxury first class cabin at the 2009 Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.
The first version of this new cabin should enter service at the end of August 2009 and be fully rolled out to the company’s entire fleet of aircraft by the end of next year.
Each first class cabin will contain 12 individual suites – each with its own sliding door, a 23-inch wide screen television with on-demand entertainment, a mini bar and a wardrobe.
“Our first class customers will experience a luxury never found before on any commercial aircraft,” said Etihad Airways’ chief executive James Hogan.
Passengers will be able to freshen up in their own wash and changing room with a full-length mirror and will be served meals at a wood finished table large enough to seat four people.
Etihad won the Freddie award for best frequent flyer programme from American travel magazine InsideFlyer in April.
