Dubai-based carrier Emirates has come top in a survey of customer satisfaction for airlines in Saudi Arabia, it has been announced.
Emirates gained nine out of ten marks for customer service compared to 8.5 in 2008.
The airlines was also voted the best for airline image by travellers in the United Arab Emirates and the “most ideal” airline for business travel by people flying from both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Tamara Deprez, general manager of Maktoob, which carried out the research, said: “It is significant to note that customer satisfaction levels of several leading airlines such as Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways have actually shown an increase this year.”
She went on to say the result proves quality of service has not been affected by wider issues in the global economy.
Qatar Airways came in second place in a customer satisfaction poll of Saudi travellers and third in the poll of Emirates flyers.
Emirates increased the amount of baggage flight customers can carry – to 30 kilograms for economy passengers, 40 kilograms for business class and 50 kilograms for first class – from May 4th.
