People booking flights to Dubai will soon be able to stay in a hotel run by one of the world’s most iconic fashion houses.
The Gucci hotel will feature 87 rooms and is due to open by the end of 2010.
It is described as a “luxury boutique” establishment and the hotel group is named after Paulo Gucci’s daughter, Elizabetta Gucci.
Lorens Ziller, managing director for Elizabetta Gucci Hotels, revealed that more resorts under the Gucci name will open in future.
“We would like to have 40 hotels in 15 years,” he stated.
According to the Elizabetta Gucci website, there are two different concepts for the hotels to be rolled out. One is the boutique format, which is being trialled in Dubai, while the other is aimed at high-end business travellers.
Elizabetta Gucci (EG) Hotels will offer “the comfort of an upper-class business hotel with in-room office space”.
