People taking flights to Dubai in recent weeks may have noticed that the emirate has been very busy, with a lot of people choosing to spend time there during Eid.
Those living in the Middle East who wanted to get away during the religious festival were choosing to spend time in places like Dubai and Abu Dhabi as they had already travelled further afield for their summer holidays, according to Abdul Hakim Aziz, business development manager of Sama International Holidays.
He told the Khaleej Times that a lot of people decided to see their relatives in the region.
“This year, people are going to Dubai. There was a need for accommodation near or connected to any mall because of the weather,” Mr Aziz added.
A result of this was there being a rise in last minute bookings for hotels and airplane seats across the region.
People on flights to Dubai with Emirates could soon get all the travel tips they need from the cabin staff, as the airline’s employees are being given master classes on what to see and do in the emirate.
