Dubai Fashion Week begins in emirate

Dubai Fashion Week has started in the emirate, with designers appearing from across the world.

Fashion followers on flights to Dubai in the coming days may be pleased to hear that they are set to arrive in the middle of Dubai Fashion Week.

Kicking off today (October 20th 2011), the event will see some of the world’s most popular fashion houses showcasing their products alongside those from up and coming designers.

Visitors can attend shows by the likes of Ekta Singh, Dabya and Label 24, while the best of the emerging talent will be showing off their designs in the New Generation events.

Offering an insight into the trends for Spring/Summer 2012, the event takes place at The Arena inside the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Catwalk shows will take place every day until October 24th, with the runway events taking place at two-hour intervals between midday and 22:00 local time.

Those on flights to Dubai can attend a lot of glamorous events in the coming months, with the Eighth Dubai City of Gold Conference taking place in November.
