Anyone booking flights to Sydney who still needs to find accommodation may want to consider staying at the Sydney Central YHA which recently one a national tourism award.
People who are heading to Australia and intend to spend a few days in Sydney may be interested to learn that one of the city’s hostels has picked up the prize for Australia’s best backpacker accommodation at the Australian Tourism Awards.
Manager of the establishment Jon Hutchinson said that the hostel “offers that little bit extra for travellers who are after affordable accommodation”.
He added that the staff working there “really care about the people they are serving”.
Among its facilities are an indoor heated pool and sauna on its rooftop and an in-house cinema.
Other winners at the ceremony, which took place on February 26th, included the Melbourne Aquarium for best major tourist attraction and the National Folk Festival in Canberra for best festival or event of 2009.
Holidaymakers who are staying in Sydney and are in need of some more ideas for activities to try during their visit may want to look into taking a flight with the Sydney Seaplanes, which offers a host of scenic tours around the city.
It picked up the accolade of best tour and/or transport operator at the ceremony.
