Sarah Jessica Parker will be making this year’s Melbourne Cup even more glamorous.
Holidaymakers taking flights to Melbourne may decide to fit in a trip to the Melbourne Cup race meeting after it was announced that Sarah Jessica Parker will be a special guest this year.
The actress, who saw international fame when she took on the role of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, will be in Australia in order to promote her new film I Don’t Know How She Does It.
However, she will take some time out of her schedule to visit the Crown’s Marquee at the horse racing event, which is being held on November 3rd 2011 at Fleming.
“Parker is a ubiquitous New York fashion icon and her attendance at the Crown Oaks Day, traditionally ladies’ day, will add to the international cache of the day,” Crown’s general manager of public relations Ann Peacock told the Herald Sun.
People who take flights to Melbourne soon could find that they thoroughly enjoy spending time in the city, as it was recently named the most liveable in the world.
