Top Gear presenters and Formula 1 stars have been spotted at an Australian holiday resort.
Motorsports fans are being encouraged to book flights to Australia, as the Great Barrier Reef resort of Hamilton Island has been highlighted as the destination of choice for several celebrity car lovers.
Following in the footsteps of former Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso, BBC motorsports presenter Jake Humphrey has chosen to take a relaxing break at this luxury resort.
Furthermore, Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May have also been seen among Hamilton Island’s recent guests.
Somewhat ironically, cars are not permitted on Hamilton Island, but all four famous guests were content to cruise around on motorised golf carts, with a maximum speed of 13 mph.
Holidaymakers looking for a slower pace of life down under can choose the Great Barrier Reef Discovery package, which includes a private helicopter tour of the region.
Prices start at £1,604 per person, based on two sharing a double room for three nights, with breakfast included.
