The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney is hosting a free kids event next month to celebrate its 195th birthday.

It may be approaching the winter season in Australia, but that doesn’t mean that your kids can’t spend any time outside on your Sydney holiday.

The Royal Botanic Gardens is hosting a special 195th birthday party next month, complete with appearances from popular children’s TV stars, which are sure to delight younger visitors who have arrived on flights to Sydney.

Wiggles stars Dorothy the Dinosaur and Fairy Clare will be performing, while the Sydney Children’s Choir will also be singing a few songs.

Kids can see the gardens’ giant floral birthday cake and taste one of the thousands of cupcakes from specialist store Cake Art and Design.

Other activities include face painting and flower painting, as well as a ride on the Wish Express train and a journey along the magical birthday trail.

Admission is free to this one-day event, which is scheduled for June 13th.
