A range of fantastic events await people who travel to Adelaide next year.

Travellers on flights to Adelaide next year could be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding what to do during their stay.

The city is set to host a range of fantastic and exciting festivals next year, kicking off on February 24th 2012 with the start of the Adelaide Fringe festival.

It is followed a few weeks later with the start of the Adelaide Festival on March 2nd, with both of the celebrations running to March 28th.

Womadelaide, the music and art event set up by Peter Gabriel, takes place between March 9th and 12th.

For those visiting the area later in the year, the Adelaide Cabaret Festival begins on June 8th and will see performers coming from around the world to showcase their talents.

Some of the people on flights to Adelaide in the coming weeks could be travelling with Virgin Australia, after the carrier announced it would be increasing its capacity to the city.
