Adelaide’s South Australian Museum will be staging a series of science-based activities in August.

The South Australian Museum (SAM) is holding a Science Week from August 13th to 21st, when visitors who have taken flights to Adelaide will be invited to take part in a series of special activities.

On the programme are the Family Fun Day, Be A Beachcomber session, Tour of Discovery and Flinders Uni Workshops among other fascinating options.

If you have always wanted to find how to be a beachcomber, head to the venue on August 17th between 09:00 and 14:00 local time. The activity is free to attend.

Meanwhile, the Flinders Uni Workshops will offer practical demonstrations regarding the socialising patterns among lizards.

“Science opens up new ways of seeing, experiencing and explaining the world around us. Immerse yourself in the science that surrounds us in our daily lives,” remarked a representative from the SAM.

The museum is free to enter and features several temporary and permanent exhibitions. It is open from 10:00 to 17:00 daily.
