Kenya Airways is introducing direct operations from Nairobi to Abu Dhabi, UAE offering wide connectivity and added options to business and leisure travellers who remain on constant lookout for tickets on flights running between the destinations.

In a bid to provide more options to flyers seeking tickets on Middle East and Africa sector, Kenya Airways is commencing direct flights service to Abu Dhabi, the capital city of UAE from July 1, 2013.

The Kenyan flag carrier will offer tickets for Nairobi and Abu Dhabi flights operating thrice a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It is the airline’s second destination in UAE after Dubai.

“The new route will provide a vital connection between Africa and the Middle East leveraging on the relationship with Etihad Airways,” said the airline’s Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director.

“These flights are intended to add value to our customers by providing improved connections and more choices of travel into other parts of the Middle East,”, he further added.

The launch of these services comes few months after the Kenyan flag carrier entered into a code share agreement with Etihad, the national carrier of UAE.

Abu Dhabi International Airport is one of the prominent international gateways to UAE. Air travel tickets to this cosmopolitan centre of business and tourist attractions remain a revered commodity among business as well as leisure travellers. It is expected that the initiative would do good to all kinds of flyers who seek tickets on direct services from Nairobi to the capital of UAE.

According to the schedule, flights will depart the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport hub in Nairobi at 1925 hours and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 0105 the following day. The return flights are going to leave the city at 0205 hours and arrive in Nairobi at 0555 on the same day.
