A series of talks on Ramadan will be held in Dubai next month.
Anyone keen to find out more about the Muslim religious occasion Ramadan can attend a series of talks if they take cheap flights to Dubai in August.
The first one will take place on August 11th at Al Twar, which is located opposite Dubai Airport Free Zone, with several scheduled throughout the month.
While locals are welcome to attend the lectures, they have been organised with the aim of promoting better understanding among tourists and overseas workers regarding what Ramadan means to the Islamic community.
“This year we celebrate the arrival of the Ramadan Forum, in its tenth session under the theme ‘Faith and Security’, completing its first decade and we pray to Allah that it will continue for decades more,” said Khalid A Bin Sulayem, director general of the department of tourism and commerce marketing.
Ramadan is the name of the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, which differs from the Western equivalent due to a difference in the length of each month.
