People in Perth have been enjoying four days of very warm weather in the city.
People in Perth have been basking in the warmth of a four-day heatwave that has hit the city.
The Bureau of Meteorology has confirmed that a heatwave has taken place, defining it as being a period when the temperature climbs to 35 degrees C or above.
Over the weekend this consistent temperature level was reached and it has remained high in the city ever since, with the mercury peaking at 40.6 degrees C on Monday March 12th.
It is only the third time that the city has recorded temperatures this high for four days during March, with the event previously happening during 1922 and 2003.
Overall, Perth has also recorded the highest average monthly temperature on record for the month of March so far.
As Perth is situated on the east coast of Australia and boasts plenty of great surfing and miles of stunning beaches, both residents and visitors to the city alike are sure to be making the most of the weather on its coastline.
