Travellers are increasingly looking to spend their holidays in countries across the Middle East.

More people could be looking to book flights to Abu Dhabi and other countries across the Middle East as it opens up as a holiday destination.

A lot of the locations in the region are now becoming more attractive to travellers, according to Tom Hall, contributor at Lonely Planet.

He explained that Muscat has made it on to the guide book’s top places to visit in 2012, with the history and culture of the region attracting visitors alongside a range of new developments that are springing up there.

The improving political situations in a lot of the Middle East nations are opening them up to travellers, but Mr Hall added that the United Arab Emirates and Oman are already quite separate from that, something which has helped them to become so popular already.

A range of developments could make holidays for people who take flights to Abu Dhabi more enjoyable, as the emirate is currently working on improving its infrastructure.
