Monday 22nd December is the day when the most Britons will take to the skies in order to spend Christmas on holiday.
This is according to a recent poll carried out by Kayak.co.uk, which revealed that 43 per cent of respondents intend to avoid spending the festive season in the UK this year.
Some 63 per cent said they will go away on December 22nd, as this is when many companies have finished work for the holidays.
Meanwhile, 41.7 per cent said they are heading abroad to spend time with friends or family members over Christmas and the new year.
Matt Rudd from the Sunday Times recently said that anyone looking for a well-priced travel destination could do worse than choose holidays to South Africa.
He remarked that South Africa is sunny and offers visitors a lack of jet lag since it is within the same time zone as the UK.
