A film festival dedicated to one of the biggest names in Indian cinema has opened in Mumbai.

The festival honouring Bollywood producer and director Vidhu Vinod Chopra is looking back over his 30-year career and has already seen several big name stars attend to see his works.

Beginning on March 29th, the festival will run through to April 4th and will showcase some of his most famous projects to an audience of fans and big name celebrities.

He has worked on dozens of classic movies, including the 1989 hit Parinda and is currently working on the film Ferrari Ki Sawaari.

Attending the opening night, actor Anil Kapoor said the filmmaker still has a lot to offer.

“I think his best is yet to come. I still feel that as per his dedication, sincerity and the kind of vision he has, he has not yet made his best film till now,” he told reporters.
