Eva Air has announced that it has won a prestigious award from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
The independent carrier, based in Taiwan, was given the accolade ‘Friends of Thailand’ at a ceremony in Bangkok for its services towards the development of tourism in the south Asian country.
Mike Wand, spokesperson for Eva – which operates flights to Bangkok from London Heathrow six times a week – said the company was delighted with the honour.
“Our London to Bangkok flight is Eva Air’s key route from the UK and we pride ourselves in the service we can offer passengers flying to Thailand. We will continue to work closely with TAT to promote this exciting destination,” he remarked.
Eva made its first flight in 1991 and today offers services to over 40 destinations on four continents.
Its fleet now includes 11 new Airbus A330-200s and for long-haul flights, four advanced Boeing 777s.
