According to Al Bawaba, the carrier won leading airline in the Middle East, best first class and leading travel website at a ceremony held at the new Atlantis hotel resort in Dubai.
Etihad Airways chief executive said he was thrilled with the awards, which were voted for by travel professionals from around the world.
“To win the leading airline, first class and website awards is great recognition for what Etihad has achieved in less than five years,” he remarked.
Last month, Etihad, which celebrates five years of flying on November 5th, told the American media that it intends to carry 25 million passengers a year by 2020, as well as doubling the number of cities it serves to 100.
Etihad – Arabic for united – offers services to 48 destinations, including 17 a week from London Heathrow.
