The Fit for the Future Ramadan Football Challenge starts in Abu Dhabi this month.
Abu Dhabi has positioned itself as a leading sporting venue over the last couple of years.
Most notably the emirate’s rulers have financed Manchester City’s meteoric rise in the Premier League with the Etihad Stadium club now the current English champions.
But the gulf state is also home to test cricket and a stunning Formula 1 Grand Prix, which sees the likes of Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton race around the Yas Marina circuit at breakneck speeds.
And now Euro 2012 is over, those looking for a sporting fix before the Olympics could head to Abu Dhabi to see football being played in the state-of-the-art indoor arena at the National Exhibition Centre.
From July 29th to August 7th the Mebadala Development Company will host the inaugural Fit for the Future Ramadan Football Challenge.
Even those who are not sports fans will find the venue’s facilities – which are symbolic of the modern architecture on display in Abu Dhabi – to be a memorable experience.
