Russians are not too popular with British holidaymakers, the results of a new poll have suggested.
When it comes to sharing sun loungers and the spirit of community with their fellow holidaymakers, Russians are the least enthusiastic, according to a new survey.
In findings that may surprise those planning cheap holidays to Australia, Dubai or Goa, the Real Holiday Reports poll saw Russians being highlighted by respondents for their rudeness and propensity to lay claim to sun loungers.
Another aspect of Russians’ holidaying conduct to be questioned by the respondents was their fashion sense – which was deemed to be something of an eyesore.
Gary Hewitt from Real Holiday Reports stated: “Russians are the new Germans only they wear dodgy clothes and the men always seem to have wives or girlfriends 20 years younger.”
Meanwhile, those looking forward to their cheap holidays in Australia or other sunny climes have been advised by Hotels.com not to pack books they know they probably will not end up reading.
