Gordon Ramsay’s Maze launched at the One&Only hotel in the South African city with a host of stars in attendance, including Sharon Stone and Morgan Freeman.
Stone was spotted taking plenty of pictures of the event, while singer Mariah Carey was also on hand to provide entertainment. However, the guest of honour was Nelson Mandela, who attended a special lunch to mark the occasion.
“I fully expect this will quickly become another of our successful and sought-after restaurants,” said Ramsay.
Japanese restaurant and celebrity favourite Nobu is also situated in the One&Only.
Gordon Ramsay is soon to appear on our televisions as part of a Channel 4 series showcasing the best recipes the different regions of India have to offer.
Features commissioning editor Liam Humphreys said the programmes will be challenging for the fiery celebrity chef, while also instructing people on how to make authentic curries.
