Located far from the crowds of the city, Marakele National Park can be reached by an easy drive of about three hours from Johannesburg. You can also spot a wide range of wildlife such as elephant, rhino, leopard, lion, and a variety of the more exotic species such as tsessebe and sable here. This place is a great alternative to the Kruger National Park– one of Africa’s largest game reserves.
