Situated in the Kwaggasvlakte section of the park near Thabazimbi, this camping site is based at the foot of the mighty Waterberg Mountains. Located far from the crowds of the city, Marakele National Park can be reached by an easy drive of about three hours from Johannesburg. You can also spot a wide range of wildlife such as elephant, rhino, leopard, lion, and a variety of the more exotic species such as tsessebe and sable here. This place is a great alternative to the Kruger National Park– one of Africa’s largest game reserves.
