Clive Owen has spoken about how much he enjoyed the scenery of South Australia while filming his latest movie, the Boys Are Back.

The British actor told the Adelaide Advertiser that the crew and actors visited more than 33 locations during the course of the filming, including the Adelaide Hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula.

He said that the views were “beautiful and incredible”.

“We’ve shot in some of the most stunning places I’ve ever seen in my life,” Owen added.

The film’s director Scott Hicks said he has lived in Adelaide since he was a teenager and that he was keen to show off the region’s beauty to a worldwide audience.

South Australia could now see tourism increase – travel agencies worldwide said that they had received more enquiries about holidays to Australia after the release of Baz Luhrmann’s recent film of the same name, which showed panoramic shots of the landscape Down Under.
