A car which started its journey in London has completed its long journey to Cape Town.
Travellers who take flights to Cape Town may want to spare a thought for the drivers of a car who headed to the city from London in order to raise money for charity.
Alex Thistlethwayte and David Hiscox got behind the wheel of the Datsun to take it on the epic journey to the South African city in order to benefit the charities Right Now Foundation and Starfish Greathearts Foundation, which help children in India and South Africa.
Funds will also go to good causes helping children affected by HIV.
The pair of drivers set off on their challenge four weeks ago and it was a learning curve for both of them, as they did not have any previous experience of driving a race car.
Whether you arrive in the city by car or taking flights to Cape Town, the city’s forthcoming Jazz Festival, which will feature the likes of Marcus Miller performing live on stage, could be a highlight of the trip.
