The V&A shopping and entertainment centre in Cape Town is set to see a major overhaul.
The V&A shopping and leisure centre in Cape Town is set to see a major renovation project to upgrade the site.
The area is already one of the city’s premier consumer and commercial centres but it is hoped it will be able to expand further following the completion of works valued at 35 million South African rand (£2.7 million).
Alex Kabalin, retail executive at the V&A Waterfront, said the location has become one of the most popular family venues in the city, something which has brought about the need for the renovation works.
He explained changes to the dining facilities will be particularly significant.
“Diners will have spectacular views across the central entertainment hub, working harbour and Table Mountain,” Mr Kabalin added.
A number of events are also held at the venue across the year, with music concerts held in the summer months and a big wheel offering stunning views across the harbour in place to the end of April 2012.
