Christine McCabe of the Australian noted that the Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island offers a range of junior eco-ranger programmes for children between the ages of five and 14 – including orienteering, guided walks, canoeing, rope courses and bush art.
Animal lovers may wish to stop in at the Werribee Open Range Zoo for a behind-the-scenes tour or a day at safari camp, or the Monarto Open Range Zoo, which is one hour’s drive from Adelaide and offers a zoo keeper for a day programme.
