Sentosa – a Not to be Missed Place in Singapore

Underwater World

Underwater World, one of the largest tropical oceanariums in Asia, tops the list of attractions. It is especially popular among kids for its Touch Pool, where one can actually touch exotic aquatic creatures. The Dolphin Show here is also a major hit. This 83-metre long underwater tunnel passes through a huge tank filled with an array of aquatic species.

There is perhaps no better place in Singapore than Universal Studios in Sentosa. With themed rides, live shows and Hollywood movie-sets, this huge complex attracts one and all. White-knuckle rides, huge roller coasters and live movie scenes make it all the more adventurous and fun filled.

Sentosa Nature Discovery

It is another interesting place for both nature lovers and kids. This jungle trail is full of exotic plant and animal life. It’s a paradise for birdwatchers too.

Port of the Lost Wonder

It is a major attraction among families with kids. With themed slides and climbing frames, restaurants and retail options for adults, and educational fun games and activities for the kids, it remains an all time favourite.

Entry: Free for Parents with children less than 12 years of age.

Beaches

Fun doesn’t end here as Sentosa is a merry place and has something for everyone. For instance, the island also attracts everyone to have fun and relax by the beach side too.

Palawan Beach

It is well-known as a family beach in Sentosa Island and also recognized as the closest point to the equator. Wading pools, animal show and seaside club promise loads of entertainment and fun for kids as well as grownups.

Tanjong Beach

With a calm atmosphere and gentle breezes, Tanjong Beach is a great place to spend quality time with your loved ones. This place is wonderful for a romantic candle light dinner.

Siloso Beach

Siloso, also known as the hippest beach, offers tempting food ranging from local Singapore cuisine and drinks to Chinese snacks, etc. People with more active pursuits can go kayaking and cycling. Very popular among youngsters, Siloso Beach is all about partying and non-stop fun.

You can visit this fascinating Island anytime throughout the year. However, June, July, November and December are considered the best months to visit.
