Anyone booking holidays to Goa may be interested in the Daily Telegraph’s selection of the four best beach houses in the area.
People who have booked flights to Goa but have yet to select any accommodation for their holiday may want to consider some of the suggestions made by the Daily Telegraph.
The newspaper has selected four of the best beach houses on offer to travellers in the region.
Vivenda dos Palhacos tops the list. Described as a “beautifully restored Hindu-Portuguese hacienda”, it is situated just a short walk from Majorda Beach.
Offering individual rooms and one self-contained cottage, the publication claims that it provides an “authentic Goan experience” that is slightly off the well-trodden tourist trail.
The Captain’s House near Arambol is called “wonderfully simple” and could be the perfect choice for nature lovers as its proximity to the beach allows guests to sit and watch dolphins and, at certain times of the year, turtles digging their nests.
Aashyana Lakhanpal on Candolim Beach and Montego Beach Village near Morjim complete the top four.
Tourists looking for value from their holidays may also be interested to know that Lonely Planet selected India as the best value destination for next year in the guide’s recent Best in Travel 2010 publication.
