Jet Airways has launched a new fare class designed to cater for those looking for cheap domestic flights when choosing holidays to India.

The domestic Jet Airways Konnect offering is an economy class service that provides a no-frills experience and requires passengers to purchase their meals onboard.

Two 737 and six ATR aircraft will be used for the service, which runs to and from cities such as Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Pune and Bhopal.

Passengers who book flights to India and wish to take advantage of this new service to get around the country cheaply will also be able to collect and spend JetPrivilege mileage points.

“Consumer demands are changing rapidly in a dynamic global environment; we believe the Jet Airways Konnect service will give us the flexibility and speed to deploy capacity to meet these changing trends,” said Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer for Jet Airways.

The airline recently launched special return economy, Premiere and first class fares from London for flights to Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and other popular Indian destinations.
