South Indian city of Kochi is all set to host an international art festival to entertain arty souls booking tickets on India bound flights. Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2012, the stylish international art festival, is set to begin from December 12, 2012.

Several news reports floating in the Indian media reveal that the three month long event will kick start from December 12, 2012.

The very first edition of the event will showcase artworks of around 80 artists from 35 countries. At least 40 Indian artists are expected to exhibit their artwork in the fest. With such a colourful showcase of artwork from across the globe, the fest promises a whale of a time to those booking flights tickets to the city.

Sources further reveal that dignitaries from Australia, Portugal, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Brazil are expected to attend the fiesta.

The three month long extravaganza aims to showcase the cosmopolitan and historical legacy of South India’s modern metropolis, Kochi and the ancient port of Muziris to both locals and out-of-state visitors buying flights tickets to India.

The event is the only Indian fest to be listed in Forbes Magazine’s ’13 cultural events to be seen’.
