James Bond party to take place in Dubai

A number of lucky James Bond fans – potentially including those on holidays in Dubai – will get a chance to participate in a night of themed celebrations in the Emirate city tonight (November 5th).

A number of lucky James Bond fans – potentially including those on holidays in Dubai – will get a chance to participate in a night of themed celebrations in the Emirate city tonight (November 5th).

The cinema within the new Mall of Dubai will host the United Arab Emirates premiere of the Quantam of Solace, Bond’s 22nd outing, followed by a party at the Dubai World Trade Club.

Some 300 people are expected to attend and onlookers on nearby streets may catch a glimpse of the bevy of Bond girls brought in especially for the event, Xpress Gulf reports.

Ian West of Heineken, one of the party’s sponsors, said: “We wanted to bring a real Bond experience for the opening in Dubai, to complement the official regional premiere which will take place.”

Dubai is becoming a popular location for star-studded parties – it has been rumoured that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are to host their New Year party in the city soon.
