Gwalior Fort

This hill fort situated in the city of Gwalior was built by Man Singh Tomar back in the 10th century. It is a historical monument and people with even a bit of interest in the subject would love to explore its terrific architecture. The fort is home to several other monuments such as the Garuda Monument, Jain Temples, and Teli Ka Mandir.

Omkareshwar

Omkareshwar is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated on the island called Shivapuri in the River Narmada and people visit it to pay their respect to the god as well as admire the intricate architectural finesse the place portrays.

Bhimbetka Rock Shelters

This archaeological site is of major importance. It spans from the ancient Mesolithic and Palaeolithic times and holds relics and remains of the same. There are cave paintings and inscriptions here that are said to be thousands of years old.

Bandhavgarh National Park

Engulfing an area of 450 sq kms, Bandhavgarh National Park is known for its flourishing population of tigers. People from different parts of the world visit the park to spot these majestic creatures in their natural glory. Along with the tiger, you can spot several other animals. Also, as many as 250 different species of birds can be spotted here.

 

Marble Rocks

This gorge is situated near Jabalpur, a beautiful city, and is a famous tourist destination. Accessible by boat, you will be mesmerized by the rock formations that you can spot on the way to Marble Rocks. Besides, the place is surrounded by shops that sell handicrafts and souvenirs.

Madhya Pradesh is famous for its food and you must definitely try as many traditional dishes here as you can. Right from Daal Baati to Korma, Malpuas to Jalebis, you can enjoy a range of delicacies which are going to leave you impressed with the outburst of flavour.
