Goa will host an international travelling and educational fest, We Care Film Festival from January 21 to 25, 2013. India bound tourists buying flights tickets to the destination during the event will be treated with world cinema on disability issues.
Foreign cineastes booking flights tickets to Goa in the peak travel month of January are certainly up for a good time and a noble cause as India’s premier beach destination is all set to host ‘We Care Film Festival’ (WCFF), 2013. The 10th edition of this international travelling and educational fest is all set to take place from January 21 to 25, 2013, revealed online sources.
The four day fest will focus on screening around 60 award-winning feature films, documentaries and shorts films from India and other countries on burning disability issues for both locals and out-of-state visitors spending on flights tickets to the destination.
Apart from featuring an independent jury to judge the films, the festival will allow the audiences to watch thought provoking flicks and also rate them and offer their alternate opinions on the quality, content and treatment of the presentation.
Organised by Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG) and Brotherhood, New Delhi in association with UNESCO and the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan (UNIC), WCFF is one of its kind awareness initiative. Over the years, this event has travelled across India to 67 venues and has been attended by thousands of locals as well as foreigners buying flights tickets to the country.
Those keen on being a part of creating awareness about disability issues through the medium of cinema and to promote integration in society by spreading the message of ability would do well to look for tickets on India flights now as cheap flights tickets to Goa in January may be difficult to come by.
