Foreigners and local vacationers looking for cheap packages for holidays in India would soon be able to include relatively cheaper accommodation options in their packages as Tune Group plans to open 100 budget properties in the country by 2020.

Local holiday makers in India and budget foreigners who regularly seek vacation packages for India holidays would be happy to note that Tune Group, in a joint venture with Apodis Hotels and Resorts, is planning to establish 100 budget hotels across the country by 2020.

Initially, Tune Hotels India Services would be coming up with properties in different parts of India like Bhavnagar, Delhi, Neemrana, Jaipur, Amritsar, Chandigarh and Chennai. Each destination is a hugely popular with tourists and heaps of them seek holidays and all-inclusive packages for these places.

“We are looking at opening 100 hotels in India by 2020 as we feel India is going to be a very important market for us,” Tune Hotels Group CEO Mark Lankester was quoted in news reports.

As per media report, room bookings will soon open up for the group’s first property in Ahmedabad, a prominent business hub and a renowned spot for holidays in a western Indian province.

In India, the company is not only looking to attract foreign tourists who seek affordable holidays and pocket-friendly vacation packages but also domestic travellers who spend on deals and packages for holidays within India.

Further, sources suggest that the firm is also looking to tap the marriage market in India and most of its large properties will feature banquet facility for guests.
