Egypt offers the chance for travellers to experience a wide range of attractions, claims a travel writer.
Kelly Pipes, writing for the Metro, explained that the African country offers a mix of stunning monuments, dunes and seas that is hard to beat.
“Whether you’re intent on scuba diving, sunbathing or scuttling around the subterranean tombs of the pharaohs on your visit to Egypt, there’s another type of weight to contend with – that of 5,000 years of history and a mind-blowing diversity of natural attractions,” explained Ms Pipes, who is the author of Egypt: Nile Valley & Red Sea guidebook.
Flights to Cairo are offered by a number of carriers including British Airways and bmi. Tourists are urged to make sure they allow enough time to visit some of Egypt’s top attractions, which include the Valley of the Kings, a cruise up the River Nile and the Luxor Temples on the East Bank.
The Egyptian State Tourist Office recently stressed that people booking flights to Egypt or those planning to visit the country in the coming weeks are unlikely to experience much disruption in the region despite current political events.
