Hollywood royalty mixed with ancient pharaohs this month when superstar couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took a tour around Egypt.

Jolie is currently trying to get into character for her forthcoming portrayal of Cleopatra – the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.

After touching down in Aswan, the pair visited the Philae Temple, a beautiful building located on an island in the River Nile, and the Nubian Museum.

The next day they visited Kom Ombo and Edfu Temple, before heading for Luxor where they took a trip to the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, the world famous King Tutankhamun’s Tomb, as well as Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple and the Abu Simbel Temple.

By the end of their visit, Jolie, who will return to the country in August to explore some of the sites associated with Cleopatra, said: “I’m converted completely on Egypt, this would be my hideaway place.”
