Travellers who fly to Dubai and other destinations with Qatar Airlines are being offered an upgraded air miles service.

Qatar Airways has announced enhancements to its Privilege Club that will mean frequent flyers will be able to access increased benefits.

Flights to Dubai can be booked online and points can be redeemed instantly at Qmiles.

It will also be possible to see the availability of award-point seats for upcoming travel making it easier for frequent flyers to use their points with the airline.

“The upgraded Privilege Club website positions us among the leading airline loyalty programmes in the Middle East with the high value it offers members and the breadth of product choices,” said Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker.

He added that members will also be able to purchase flights using a combination of air mile points and cash, offering greater flexibility.

New flights to India and Australia will begin operation by the airline over the coming months, including flights to Goa, flights to Sydney and flights to Melbourne.

Travellers taking a holiday in Australia this July may wish to head to Bondi Beach in Sydney for the Bondi Bohemia Winter Festival.
