Multi-sport event coming to Dubai
On June 8th, Dubai Sports World 2012 opens at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The massive 1,000,000 sq ft exhibition space will feature a full-size artificial grass pitch, a beach football pitch, six multi-sport courts, a 660m running track, spectator seating for 1,400 fans plus games tables and big screens.
Sports featured will include football, rugby, cricket, tennis and basketball and throughout each day of the event, [del] there will be personal training, fitness and wellness classes taking place.
Commenting on the event, Helal Saeed Almarri, chief executive officer of the Dubai World Trade Centre[,] told the Khaleej Times: “Reflecting the spirit of excellence that Dubai is known and celebrated for … Dubai Sports World … supports the Emirate’s efforts in building a community that encourages health and wellbeing for both residents and visitors.”
Dubai Sports World 2012 takes place between June 8th 2012 and August 31st 2012.
