The shopping on offer in Abu Dhabi has been described as ‘unbeatable’.
Brits looking to indulge in some serious retail therapy this summer have been advised to book flights to Abu Dhabi to enjoy the “unbeatable shopping” that is on offer in the Middle Eastern city.
Lawrence Franklin, strategy & policy director at the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, added that there is more to the UAE city than just “palace-like shopping malls and indigenous souks”, however.
“Abu Dhabi is a cosmopolitan city with urban architecture, green gardens and fountains. It hosts a range of luxurious hotels, spas, designer golf courses, and heritage sites,” he added.
His comments come after UAE-based airline Etihad launched a free stop-over promotion for premium class passengers earlier this month, including a choice of stays in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the luxury resort of Yas Island.
Other airlines operating flights from London to Abu Dhabi include Qatar Airways, Lufthansa, KLM, American Airlines and Emirates.
