The Festival of Lights at VanDusen Botanical Garden
More than a million lights will illuminate the VanDusen Botanical Garden in the month of December. Into its 31st year, the Festival of Lights will have interactive themed areas in addition to a range of shows such as Dancing Lights Show at Livingstone Lake and Vancouver Public Library’s Tales for a Winter’s Night. Tickets for the festival are available online and at the venue as well. The brilliant display of lights will take place between 4:30pm to 9pm but from 18th to 23rd December, you can enjoy the sight up till 10pm. The Festival of Lights remains closed on 25th December.
Bright Nights Christmas Train in Stanley Park
Stanley Park is probably the most well known park in Vancouver. During the holiday season, this lush park hosts an impressive annual event known as the Bright Nights Christmas Train. This train ride takes you through different parts of the park and presents you a captivating display of over 3 million lights. Besides, several live performances are organised during this fest. The most prominent attraction in this rainforest is the tallest living Christmas tree in the world!
