Bangkok Paradise returns for one night only and molam music will be in the spotlight.
Bangkok is a thriving metropolis that prides itself on its exciting and vibrant nightlife. Music, food and drink go hand-in-hand on a typical Bangkok evening.
One of the most acclaimed nights is the Bangkok Paradise event – which showcases some of the best music on offer in the city.
Back after a short hiatus, Bangkok Paradise will once again draw in the crowds with a one-off gig to celebrate the event’s third anniversary.
Wong Dontri Molam Theppabutr has been drafted in with his band to get people moving to the renowned molam music genre.
A cross between dub and dance, the music is extremely popular in the region.
Speaking to the Bangkok Post, event organiser Maft Sai said: “You can really feel the music even before the music starts, the voice of the molam gives you goosebumps.”
As well as the one-off gig, Sai is releasing a Bangkok Paradise CD compilation that will feature many of the artists that have played at previous gatherings.
There will also be a new seven-inch vinyl issued with the same name – great news for scratch DJs.
